QR codes on the Web

Can we just agree that QR codes are only appropriate for printed material, or shown on large displays / TVs.  They are almost pointless on your Web page.  By far the vast majority of visitors to a Web page are using a mobile device. You know, that same device that scans the QR code. There's is no practical way to scan while you read on the same device.
