Youthful bliss

FiftyIn50

Today's prompt: What do you remember being a big deal to adults during your childhood or teenaged years?

I've been thinking how to interpret this one and I have decided I am being asked what issues were adults dealing with when I was a child?

I was probably oblivious to any adult drama as a child/teenager.  In my early youth, children were children, and we were not our parents’ best friends!  We played with children our own age, outside, and returned home for meals, chores, and bedtime.  I appreciate things are different now, and kids sit indoors (too much in my view) and consume an online life.

I grew up in a street where most adults and their children were all similar ages.  It presented me with great opportunities for friendship building and playing.  We all attended the same school, went to each other's birthday parties, and sometimes a group of families would go on holiday together.  I think the parents saw it as a great opportunity to share childminding.

It was a simple, fun, easy going life.  I believe I grew up to be a decent, caring human-being.

Others may disagree.  haha

That was my FiftyIn50 blogging prompt for today
